Floyd Mayweather Jr. and T.I.’s Fatburger Brawl

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and T.I.’s violent brawl set the Internet ablaze when footage was posted and circulated online showing the two men exchanging heated words and throwing chairs at one another. In case you’re lost or wondering what started the beef, here’s a quick recap:

Shekinah (Tiny’s best friend and hairstylist) approached Mayweather about scoring tickets to the May 4th fight. She brought Tiny with her to the fight.

After the fight, on May 5th, Tiny posted a photo of herself, Mayweather and more celebrity friends which supposedly sparked the entire showdown. The photo was captioned: "You already know!!! There’s nothing like being surrounded by ‘THE BEST EVER!!!’ Champion s—t @floydmayweather @thatshekinah @thereallraye1 & @ikitchie #teammayweather"

After the photo was posted, T.I. allegedly approached Mayweather in New York, weeks ago. Mayweather recalls: "He stepped to me when I was at a jewelry store like, ‘Yo, let’s go outside and talk.’" He says that T.I. indicated that "these girls tryna play us against each other." When Mayweather caught the drift that T.I. was talking about his wife, Tiny, Mayweather says he told the rapper: "Me and your wife don’t have nothing… if you think so."

Despite the tension after that meeting, Tiny posted a photo with Mayweather’s 14-year-old daughter on Saturday, just one day before the boxer and her husband got into a brawl at a Fatburger on the Las Vegas strip.

Mayweather claims that he thought "everything was cordial" until T.I. approached him again while he was eating at Fatburger early Sunday morning. Mayweather allegedly told T.I.: "You need to get the f—k outta my face. That’s what you better do."

As the interaction became more heated, Mayweather reminded T.I. of his profession as a boxing champ as a way to warn him to step away. T.I. responded: "You do it in the ring. I do it in the streets." Mayweather shot back: "My man, I do it everywhere. You can find out if you want to."

The moment that appeared to set everything off and cued the throwing chairs was when Mayweather was heard on video telling T.I. to "control your b—ch" during the altercation.

Mayweather has since offered an apology to Tiny for calling her out of her name in the midst of the altercation. He said: "I don’t want to say that about Tiny. So I do apologize to Tiny because she cool people. She never been disrespectful to me."

Although T.I. didn’t go into specifics about what sparked the fight, he did post a video on Instagram to dispel the rumors that Mayweather gave him two black eyes during the brawl. He captioned the video: "Two black what??? C’mon now. Never in da history of n---adom. But nice try tho. Lol."

There were also reports that T.I. was taken into custody for questioning after Mayweather’s tour bus was shot up leaving two people dead. The reports are false and come from a website that posts satirical news.
