First Lady Michelle Obama, Emma Stone, and more This Week in Fashion...

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the phenomenal Moms out there! I must give a special shout-out to two very important women in my life. My Mom Romelda Boateng who introduced me to all things fashion and used to make us matching outfits when I was a little girl. Also, my Grandmother Weada Pearl Gordon who to this day knows how to get jazzed up for any occasion.

This week in fashion I saw a couple must haves starting with model Irina Shayk who attended the 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. In a sea of gowns Irina stood out with this black Atelier Versace jumpsuit that featured sparkly embellishments and a cape. A pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps completed her look.

First Lady Michelle Obama looked beautiful in a gorgeous Marchesa gown. She had the gown modified from the runway look to be sleeveless and edited some drapery. I wish she kept the runway look but perhaps she wanted her husband President Barack Obama’s jokes to slay instead of her outfit. She’s so thoughtful and was #flawless anyway.

Just like she killed Ludacris’s verse on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Emma Stone has been killing the press tour she’s on fro Spiderman 2 with every outfit. Somebody likes to win.

Country singer Carrie Underwood was spotted at the 2014 Time 100 Gala wearing the most beautiful Claire Pettibone gown. Everything about this look = yes.

Last but not least Scandal’s “First Lady” Bellamy Young also attended the Correspondents’ Dinner wearing a ruby red Romona Keveza gown. Lovely. Stay tuned for my take on the 2014 Met Gala fashion.
