Tracee Ellis Ross, 'Get on Up', and more This Week in Fashion

I think I speak for all natural-haired women when I say Tracee Ellis Ross has the most enviable natural curls. I often find myself taking down a bantu knot-out only to be disappointed with the results. Those results would be that (a) I didn’t let them dry completely and (b) I forgot I don’t have Tracee’s hair...but I digress. I am so excited to hear she will be back on TV this fall alongside Anthony Anderson in the new show ‘Blackish.’ I have very high hopes for the new sitcom. I have certainly missed her playing the role of Joan on ‘Girlfriends,’ it was the best. Tracee is very involved in blogging and on social media. She shares great quotes, style tips, and gives lots of funny. Check her out!

This weekend the highly anticipated James Brown biopic “Get on Up” starring Chadwick Boseman opens at the box office and I am ready to see it! You might say to yourself hmmm...Chadwick looks familiar and you would be right. Chadwick starred in the film ‘42’ as Jackie Robinson. So far I have been quite impressed with his acting chops. It might be too early to call it but I think we have a Denzel-esque type in the making. Of course he will chart his own course in Hollywood but so far his role choices and performances are commendable. Let’s show up this opening weekend and support ‘Get on Up!’

Check out this week’s fashion hits below. Do you love it?
