Naomie Harris, Solange Knowles, Robin Roberts and more This Week in Fashion...

Nearly 15 years ago the world was introduced to ‘The Best Man’ and I was introduced to Morris Chestnut...but I digress. The point being, this weekend we have the oppotunity to see what the characters of your favorite movie from 1999 have been up to. Sanaa Lathan, one of my favorite glamour girls stars in the film alongside Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Terrence Howard, Morris Chestnut and more. Sanaa has made it a habit of starring in all of my favorite films so I’m happy to support her latest film endeavor. The ladies and gents looked amazing on the red carpet at the premiere. Let’s make it a big opening weekend so we can get these well-deserved actors more projects.

Naomie Harris looked stunning at the 2013 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. Showing her British pride Naomie wore a beautiful Vivienne Westwood design. The designer’s signature squiggly print is key to this corseted Gold Label dress. The dress features a darted hem which helps to create that hourglass silhouette. Naomie added a devine pop of color with a pair of  turquoise Christian Louboutin’s and carried a bow accented black satin clutch that finished off her look.

Well it looks like my favorite mini-fashionista, Kiernan Shipka, did it on em’ again on the red carpet. This time Kiernan wore a Preen Spring geometric floral top that was paired with a white structural skirt.  A black and white sandal and her cutesy grin completed her look. Well done honey.

Naturally Lupita Nyong’o was amidst the talent pool at the 2013 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. Lupita wore an ethereal Lanvin Resort cream and black gown. The dress featured an asymmetrical shoulder and a ribbon that gather the top of the dress which flowed into a plunging neckline. A shimmering belt broke up the monochromatic pattern. Though I wish the gown was tailored a bit more to fit her slender build, Lupita has yet to disappoint on the red carpet. She looks great and takes risks which is the true calling card of a fashionista.

Victoria Secret Angel, Chanel Iman was spotted at the Emirates marquee during Stakes Day at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia. Chanel wore a Simply Vera - Vera Wang ‘Alice’ Shift dress styled that was styled with a gorgeous Hartmaker headpiece. A  couture Valentino punk bag, and a pair of  nude Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps finished off her striking look.

I must give a special fashion “I see you” wave to friend-in-my-head Solange Knowles. I love the Moschino Polka Dot ensemble she was spotted wearing. Solange wore the complete white and navy skirt suit along with a pair of Elizabeth and James Saucy Leather T-Strap Pumps.

At the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Kat Dennings stepped out looking fab in a crimson Naeem Khan dress.  The dress featured beautiful floral embroidery that cascaded around the entire silhouette. Nude pumps and while a gold confetti ‘Flavia’ clutch by Edie Parker polished of Kat’s look for the evening.

I am so happy to see that now, a year out from her bone-marrow transplant, Good Morning America host Robin Roberts is feeling good and looking amazing on the red carpet. Robin stunned on the red carpet of the 2013 CMA Awards wearing an Emilio Pucci design. The black halter jumpsuit joined at the neck and hip with gems looked great on Robin and her shoes were everything.  She was quoted in August saying, “I’m really at peace now. I’m not as frightened. I feel 90 percent of myself again, and that’s a great feeling … To be able to feel stronger and a little more active, it’s great to feel that way again.” Stay strong Robin!

Nia Long looked cinched and snatched in a long-sleeved, raspberry hued Michael Costello gown. The gown gathered at the waist below a plunging neckline and featured a front slit. Please believe Nia knew how to work that gown for the cameras.

Sanaa Lathan looked beautiful in a strapless Donna Karan number.  The design featured a ruffled neckline and some maroon material that was draped and clasped at the wait with a black belt. Sanaa finished off her sultry look with Le Vian & Demarco jewelry and Stuart Weitzman black pumps.

Regina Hall looked adorable in a Lorena Sarbu jumpsuit. This design featured a lacey top that was met with a sweetheart neckline of red material. Though the suit seemed to fit a little loose…Regina looked fab. Black sandals finished off her red carpet look.
