On the Run...

Many were on the run and headed to Minute Maid Park on Friday July 18, 2014 to see Houston’s own Beyonce & Jay-Z live in concert. Minute Maid Park was filled with excitement and fans of Beyonce and Jay Z lovers from near and far. The crowd went wild when Beyonce & Jay-Z first appeared on stage and the wildness never stopped. The Forward Times had a great time at On the Run World Tour featuring Beyonce & Jay-Z. Concert attendees included Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Controller of the City of Houston Ronald Green & his wife Judge Hilary Green, ABC-Channel 13 News anchor Melanie Lawson, Bun B, George Russell, Se7en the Poet, Tyrone Willis. Highlights of the night included performances of Crazy In Love, Drunk In Love, and Partition.

Screwed Up...

The Forward Times was excited to meet & greet Houston’s own hip-hop recording artist and producer Travis Scott at Screwed Up Records & Tapes Headquarters on July 17, 2014. The concert was scheduled later in the day at the Bayou Music Center in Downtown Houston.

Crowd jumped to their feet when Tye Tribbett appeared on stage at the House of Blues in Downtown Houston on July 15, 2014. Other gospel artists such as Tasha Page Lockhart and The Walls Group gave inspiring performances of the night. Spotted in the sold out show crowd included concert goers Demetrius & Saradia Johnson as well as Gospel music sensation Kirk Franklin.
