How the top Houston area football players fared in Week 10

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Offense

Alfred Robertson, Worthing, Quarterback, Sophmore

Robertson completed 20-of-23 passes for 314-yards and three touchdowns.  He also rushed the ball 14 times for 73-yards and two rushing touchdowns for five total touchdowns in Worthings 36-26 victory over Furr.

Defense

Bradley Cunningham, Linebacker, Senior

Cunningham had 12 total tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, and one pass break up in Westsides 31-28 loss to Bellaire.

OFFENSE

QUARTERBACKS

Trevon Smith, Bellaire, Smith completed 10 of his 16 passing attempts for 128-yards and two touchdowns.  He also ran the ball 21 times for 83-yards and one rushing touchdown in Bellaires 31-28 victory over Westside.

Darrell Colbert, Lamar, Colbert completed 12-of-17 passes for 181-yards and two touchdowns in Lamars 63-0 victory over Chavez.

Michael Haywood, Westside, Haywood was 12-of-18 passing for 115-yards and two touchdowns.  He also ran the ball 12 times for 68-yards in Westsides 31-28 loss to Bellaire.

RUNNING BACKS

Cleveland Bailey, Sharpstown, Bailey carried the ball 17 times for 138-yards and two touchdowns in Sharpstowns 29-9 win over Lee.  Bailey also intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown on defense.

Xavier Campbell, Bellaire, Campbell rushed the ball 19 times for 147-yards and one touchdown in Bellaires 31-28 victory over Westside.

Malik Jarmon, Waltrip, Jarmon carried the ball 19 times for 136-yards and one touchdown in Waltrips 22-13 win over Milby.

Neal Blacklock, Washington, Blacklock rushed the ball 12 times for 141-yards and four touchdowns in Washingtons 40-14 victory over Scarborough.

Lorean Easley, Westside, Easley rushed the ball 18 times for 155-yards and two touchdowns in Westsides 31-28 loss to Bellaire.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Jamaine Boyd, Sam Houston, Boyd had three catches for 107-yards and one touchdown in Sam Houstons 48-15 loss to Madison.

Malcom LaFleur, Reagan, LaFleur had eight catches for 131-yards and two touchdowns in Reagans 47-7 victory over Davis.

Byron Washington, Reagan, Washington had eight catches for 161-yards and one touchdown in Reagans 47-7 victory over Davis.

Frank Iheanacho, Westside, Iheanachohad eight catches for 88-yards and two touchdowns in Westsides 31-28 loss to Bellaire.

Yzerick Oliver, Worthing, Oliver had six catches for 165-yards and three touchdowns in Worthings 36-26 victory over Furr.

DEFENSE

Glen Anderson, Lamar,  Anderson had six total tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss in Lamars 63-0 victory over Chavez.

Robbie Dobbs, Westside Dobbs had nine total tackles and one tackle for a loss in Westsides 31-28 loss to Bellaire.

Kyran Mitchell, Lamar, Mitchellhad seven total tackles and two tackles for a loss in Lamars 63-0 victory over Chavez.

Malik Willis, Westside,  Willis had nine total tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one pass deflection in Westsides 31-28 loss to Bellaire.

DISTINCT ATHLETES

Brandon Hayes, Yates: The quarterback ran the ball 22 times for 124-yards and two touchdowns, adding 101 yards passing yards against Jones.

Brett Winnegan, Dawson: The running back had five carries but finished with 203 yards and four total scores against Galena Park

Nick Anderson, Kempner: The junior played offense and defense in the Cougars' win over Clements on Thursday, starting at safety and running 30 times for 271 yards and five TDs.
