First Lady Michelle Obama has become a political and fashion force to be reckoned with. It is obvious she has no plans of slowing down this second term. In the first couple months of 2013 Michelle Obama has already been spotted dancing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and was a surprise presenter for Best Picture at the Oscar Awards.
Four years ago Michelle Obama looked sweet, hopeful, and idealistic in a custom ivory Jason Wu gown. The floor length, ethereal, one-shoulder ensemble sparkled and swept across the dance floor as it was decorated with Swarovski crystals and flower appliqués. That event made the young Jason Wu a household name and favorite designer for our First Lady.
This year our First Lady looked beautiful and patriotic as she wore a custom red Jason Wu velvet and chiffon gown. I like to think this bold choice in color reflected the tone of this year’s inaugural ball. Over the past four years we have witnessed Michelle’s style evolve. I believe with her new bangs and bolder style choices as of late, Michelle has taken her place in history as one of the most fashionable First Ladies.
Until next time....Grace
