According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Harris County is projected to have over 512,000 seniors age 60+ years in 2012, and issues like housing, disability, long term care, family members trying to take over and make decisions for people who feel they’re still capable of making their own decisions, even if it ruffles the feathers of the younger generation in their families are challenges to be faced. Criminals are also attracted to a less resistant victim, like the elderly to ply their trade of murder and theft to enhance their devil’s lifestyle.
There will be concerned family members who feel the need to be more in charge of their elderly family member’s personal and financial affairs simply because of their age, and their perception of competency. The assistance of an Elder Care Mediator can reduce the friction among family members when issues are emotional, and stressful. An Elder Care Mediator will help alleviate those issues by focusing on the most practical methods to lessen family member’s fears on complex problems like estate planning, inheritance or health care choices; and Elder Care Mediators may be used to develop alternatives to conservatorship. Mediation is a better alternative than going to court, where the decisions in court cases are decided by jurors or the Judge. In mediations, everybody decides. In compliance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures Act 154.052, Texas Civil Practice & Remedy Code Ann., I have completed the training as a Mediator, and Advanced Family and Divorce Mediator. I’m also a rarity in the law enforcement field; my office will be a link to Elder Care Mediation, because I’m also an Elder Care Mediator. This time when you vote, don’t vote for friendship, or because everybody likes a person. Use your eyes and view the website of potential candidates for Harris County Constable, Precinct 7. Remember, law enforcement is a job where you get paid to do your job like anybody else’s jobs they’re paid to do. Look at the candidate’s accomplishments that are not linked to the enhancement of their personal jobs where it increases opportunity for them to receive better positions or pay. My accomplishments in Public Safety are unprecedented, but most of all, practical. My website will be operational in 2 weeks. You will truly know me, and my incredible credentials will leave you with no alternative but to vote for me as Harris County Constable of Precinct 7, and you, the voters will live my campaign slogan – “I’m Ready to Take You to the Next Level of Public Safety.”
PET PEEVE OF THE WEEK:
Constables, Sheriffs, and Municipal Officers collectively not writing an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) agreement with churches and businesses to install surveillance cameras monitored by newly trained monitors, and special deputies on duty to respond to crimes in progress at those locations. Don’t worry, when I’m elected Constable, it will be a done deal…
PET PEEVE OF THE WEEK:
People who get confused, especially when the answer is right in front of their faces.
