MY NEXT LEVEL OF GROWTH WITH GOD
DISCOVERYING MY PERSONAL PRAYER POWER WITH GOD
October 30, 2011
Lesson # 7
Bible Fact: The blessings that come into my storehouse are promised, planned, promoted and predestined by God in exchange for my growth to trust in His way.
Bible Text: Deuteronomy 28:8, 9
Aim: To lead students to obediently trust God for His word to provide their blessings at a level to meet their individual needs.
At age 16 Andor Foldes was already a skilled pianist, but he was experiencing a troubled year. In the midst of the young Hungarian's personal struggles, one of the most renowned pianists of the day came to Budapest. Emil von Sauer was famous not only for his abilities; he was also the last surviving pupil of the great Franz Liszt. Von Sauer requested that Foldes play for him. Foldes obliged with some of the most difficult works of Bach, Beethoven, and Schumann.
When he finished, von Sauer walked over to him and kissed him on the forehead. "My son," he said, "when I was your age I became a student of Liszt. He kissed me on the forehead after my first lesson, saying, 'Take good care of this kiss--it comes from Beethoven, who gave it to me after hearing me play.' I have waited for years to pass on this sacred heritage, but now I feel you deserve it."
Is God looking for you to give you a kiss for discovering your potential harvest? At the right timing God will give you favor and those around you will know that God has favored you for your work of faith and trust in Him (cp. Psalm 85:10).
II. INCREASING MY HARVEST POTENTIAL WITH GOD
A. My harvest potential is directly tied to my faith to trust who God is and how God works.
1. According to Romans 10:17 how do I obtain my faith in God?
2. In Hebrews 11:6 I can list at least three (3) actions that I must perform in order to please God.
B. The increase of my harvest demands that I allow God to show me the way to my blessed place.
1. What does Isaiah 30:21 states that God is ready to do for me if I listen to Him?
C. Study Hebrews 11:1 to discuss with other students what this verse means to the personal life journey of every Christian believer seeking favor with God. (Define these key words: substance, hope and evidence.)
Recycling is my full-time job, and telling others about God saving grace and love for us is my full-time ministry. I am truly blessed.
