Where there’s a will, there’s a way, especially in light of the increased incidents of car jackings and home invasions, leaving death and sorrow among family members who have lost family members to the senseless murderous intrusion of violent criminals. It’s time for acts of desperation in the protection of citizens already facing a down economy trying to scrape by from day to day in order to make ends meet. As public safety experts, we must circle the wagons on criminals, and end their terroristic ways.
Society has had enough and will do anything to protect their loved ones, including taking the life of criminals. Citizens must also do their part in the protection of their families, including securing your properties to make it more difficult to break into your homes by putting steel plates on doors with at least a 2 in. throat. Don’t leave windows unlocked. Make sure there is adequate lighting on the outside of your properties. Get an alarm system with a back-up battery in case criminals disable your phone lines, and also obtain your concealed handgun license to protect yourselves when away from home, or on the road.
When you are at home, always expect the unexpected by having your handgun or shotgun close by in case home invaders kick in your door, because they always have their weapons in their hands upon entering your home. You must always keep your handgun at least an arm’s length from you – it may save your life one day. It’s ridiculous to have to live like that, but we live in a society where murder is commonplace, and self protection is the order of the day, lest you’ll be pushing up daises prematurely.
For those of you needing to learn how to use a handgun, there are resources to help you do so. As a National Rifle Association handgun, shotgun, rifle, personal protection, and home firearm safety instructor, I strongly advise you to learn how to use a handgun safely in case you need to use one for protection. After I’m elected Harris County Constable of Precinct 7 on March 6, 2012, I will start a program to teach citizens how to safely use a handgun, while also establishing a surveillance camera system in neighborhoods of Precinct 7 in order to monitor neighborhoods to better protect citizens against criminals who want to destroy your public peace. You can check out my qualifications by going to www. spiveyforconstablepct7.com, and don’t forget to go to the polls next year and vote for H.B.(Rickey), Spivey, Jr. if you’re serious about increasing public safety in your various communities.
PET PEEVE OF THE WEEK:
It’s never easy to change. Some people continue to seek miracles in their communities instead of putting the right people in office.
