v20_Aliyah v20_Timbaland

Timbaland recently revealed he’s got mad respect and love for fallen angel, Aaliyah.

He told Power 105′s “The Breakfast Club” that the late singer was one of the greatest and had the potential to be just as great as Beyonce. He insisted that Aaliyah was the first on the scene and set the standard for other lady singers.

v20_AvengersIf the economy is still in trouble, you wouldn’t know by looking at the box office results of “The Avengers.”

Geez, it seems everybody in America turned out for it’s opening weekend. The Marvel Comics/Studios film (distributed by Disney), opened to an incredible $200.3 million(!) the US box office.

That’s the largest debut ever and kicks off the Summer movie-going season in high style.

Vivica FoxVivica Fox confirmed that the rumors are true. She’s back to television in a new comedy, “Mr. Box Office.” Official word is scheduled to come soon from Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios

Fox joins the cast of Allen’s new production, along with Keisha Knight Pulliam (of The Cosby Show), Jon Lovitz, and ex-NBA Star Rick Fox, according to HumorMillMag.com.

After years of buzz about the prospect of Outkast rapper Andre 3000 playing Jimi Hendrix in a biopic, the film is finally about to begin shooting this month in Ireland.

According to the Irish Film & Television Network (IFTN), the film, titled “All Is By My Side,” will document the guitar legend’s period in England from 1966 to 1967 as he created his iconic debut album.

The feature, written and directed by John Ridley, is currently in pre-production in Wicklow, with principal photography set to begin in three weeks in both Wicklow and Dublin. The shoot is expected to last six weeks.

The film will also depict the moment Hendrix was discovered in a New York club by Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richard’s then girlfriend Linda Keith. She subsequently introduced Hendrix to manager Chas Chandler who brought Hendrix to London in 1966, where he recorded his debut album “Are You Experienced” and had his first taste of success.

v19_VirginiaCampins_Virginia_EveWe hope Jennifer Williams of “Basketball Wives” is seriously lawyered-up ’cause the producers of the show are taking their feud to the next level according to TMZ.

It seems they plan on filing a lawsuit against her for publicly trashing the show.

If you recall … producers of VH1′s hit series were PISSED after Williams filed a lawsuit against fellow cast member Nia Crooks after she slapped Williams in the face while taping an episode.

Due to its popularity, it’s now numero uno for the second week in a row.

Over the weekend, the ensemble comedy, based on Steve Harvey’s book, “Think Like A Man, Act Like A Lady,’” made id="mce_marker"8 million, according to studio estimates from box office tracking firm Hollywood.com. The encore weekend lifts the id="mce_marker"2 million film’s overall revenue to $60.9 million, more than 3 times what analysts anticipated.

Could this mean a sequel is in the offing? It certainly could. HumorMillMag.com reports that Screen Gems may greenlight a follow-up to the hilarious romantic comedy starring Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy and Kevin Hart, among others. The plot could be about marriage and the script could include a trip to Las Vegas, which would make sense because one of the pairs ended their storyline with an engagement.
