Attendees from Missouri City and all across the Greater Houston area gathered at the Quail Valley City Centre on June 6th to help the Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration Foundation (MCJCF) kick-off their eleventh year of celebrating Juneteenth at the VIP Stakeholders Reception. The MCJCF is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and is the largest Juneteenth celebration entity of its kind in the nation.

The results are in and it looks like the Smith family’s latest film venture was a bust. Moviecritics and the box office numbers indicate that ‘After Earth’ fell short of its expectations. While moviegoers gave the film a genourous rating of 51% on Rotten Tomatoes, the consensus is that this film is not all that the trailer claimed it would be. Opening on the heels of ‘Fast and Furious 6’ who held onto the top spot probably wasn’t the greatest idea. I like to focus on the positive side of things so what did work for this film was some of the fashion at the film’s premiere. Here are a few of the standout looks of the night.

‘Fast & Furious 6’ opened Memorial weekend with record numbers at the box office. This latest installment of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’ Conner’s (Paul Walker) adventures as expert drivers left audiences yearning for more and proved to be the best movie yet as it landed in the No. 1 spot with id="mce_marker"20 million.This marks the biggest opening weekend for a Universal Pictures release. The film grossed an additional id="mce_marker"58 million internationally. As always, a blockbuster movie means red carpets galore. Check out a few of my favorite looks that the cast sported on the red and blue carpets at the UK and LA premieres.
